Race in The Heartland’s target audience are business professionals, educators, social workers, housing providers/recipients, any member of the justice system, community activists, and those who want to know more about best practices related to Race, Diversity, Equity and Inclusion.

Where is Race in The Heartland being held?

This conference is being held on the campus of Loras College. The address is 1450 Alta Vista St. Dubuque, IA 52001.

Conference events will take place in the Alumni Campus Center (ACC). To view/print a campus map click: Here

The ACC is located at #2 on the map. Parking can be found at 2a, 13a, 14a, 15a, & 28a on the map. If these are full, there is another free parking option (within walking distance) at Church of Nativity at 1225 Alta Vista St. Dubuque, IA 52001


How much does it cost to attend Race in The Heartland?

Registration includes:

Are group discounts available?

If your business/organization would like to send 10 or more people, there is a group discount available. For a group of 10, the individual price per ticket will be $55.

What transportation is available to get me to the conference?

You can get to the conference a number of ways. The hotel sponsors for the conference both offer transportation to and from the conference.

Dubuque also has Uber, Lyft, and multiple cab companies.

Is there a block of rooms for the conference?

There are a block of rooms at the Town Inn Suites, as well as the Holiday Inn. All rooms are discounted, and will go quickly, so act now.

Are there vendor opportunities?

There are opportunities for “Vendors” at Race in The Heartland. Being a vendor at this conference will allow your business/organization to reach over 250 attendees both local and regional. Since this is on a local College campus, the college students who will be going in and out will also have access to see what your table has to offer.
