Registration Information

The Dubuque Human Rights Commission along with other Dubuque community organizations, have created this regional conference to discuss issues related to Race, Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion.

This 2-Day conference will be held on October 18-19, 2019 at Loras College. Over 250 educators, social workers, business professionals, and community leaders will be in attendance.

Participants who attend this conference will gain:

  • Increased cultural competency through an understanding of implicit bias;
  • A clear definition of implicit bias and an understanding of its impact on racial, social and economic disparities;
  • Tools to assess their organizations and systems as well as techniques for interrupting implicit bias;
  • Awareness of disparities and disproportionalities within and across systems including education, housing, criminal justice, and the work place.
